Arc-Suppression Coil Setting
Set a Petersen (arc-suppression) coil for a resonant-earthed neutral: capacitive earth-fault current of the network, required coil inductance for full compensation, detuning factor and residual current (IEC 60076 / network compensated-grounding practice).

Note — Full compensation sets the coil so I_L = I_C (detuning v = 0). A small intentional over-compensation (negative v) is usual so the residual current stays inductive and self-extinguishing. The residual-current limit (typically 10 A for networks below 30 kV with automatic reclosure) must be met. This is a steady-state approximation; confirm the coil rating, tap range and the network C₀ against a certified engineer and the utility earthing code.
